Unable to check-out Excel file from Quark Publishing Platform Server in MS Excel.

Error: System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file '\quark.local\Redirected Folders\xyz\My Documents\Quark Software Inc\Excel\quark\myfile.xlsx' because it is being used by another process.



Problem: This issue occurs in case the default check-out location is set to a network drive.



Resolution:

• Go to File > Preferences

• General Tab > Checked-out documents and change the location to a local folder on system(Let’s say C:\new folder) instead of a network location.

• Click Ok and try to check-out a file from server again.
